default. since we've been accumulating a big national debt, congress has raised the debt ceiling just 78 times. since 1960 alone. since the nation's debt reached the $1 trillion mark in the early 1980s, look at how government borrowing has skyrocketed. climbing really at an ex exponential rate. how is $14 trillion in relation to how big the economy is. it's about 95% of the size of the whole economy. we're fast approaching rates not seen since way back in world war ii and the great depression. when the size of the debt limit and the national debt was actually bigger than our gdp. this is what economists call a debt crisis. america runs by borrowing money. right now, 38 cents is borrowed money. if the debt kreeling is not raised in time, the u.s. could default on some of the payments. that's the last thing we need, recovering from a recession. >> fomdominique strauss-kahn ma face new sexual assault charges even though the case in new york is falling apart. difficult to say at this point. the big question is and the most important question is what does he want to do? if and when, again, he walks out a free man out of court here in manhattan the next few days, will he want to come back into french politics? and if he does, in what position would that be? will he choose to run for president or will he choose to be kind of the elder statesman if you like in french politics? and that first as an adviser to whoever would be the socialist candidate and then perhaps become prime minister of something. as you see, what is interesting about these polls and has been few of them, two or three, is that french people are very ambivalent about it, about half of them wish him to come back. half of them are not so sure about it. >> right. they're split down the middle pretty much. but let me ask you about this other woman. why -- i'm sure people who haven't followed this case as closely as some of us have, why is she coming out now? some people might think this is opportunistic because she didn't speak out at the time the alleged attempted rape took place

about today. the jury in the casey anthony murder trial got a big job to do this holiday. deliberations are expected to begin in a few more hours. first, the prosecution has some rebutting to do. the defense claims the state did not prove that case say anthony killed her daughter caylee but they played with the jury's emotions. >> you see the strategy behind that is, is if you hate her, if you think she's a lying, no good slut, then you will start to look at this evidence in a different light. you will start to, oh, wait a minute, maybe i'm seeing something that's not there and start to actually discriminate against her rather than give her the standard that is afforded to each and every citizen in our country. >> the trial in orlando gets under way at 8:30 eastern. the judge warned the jury today will be a long way for them. >>> fox news politics on twitter, someone has clearly hacked the twitter handle. the site is putting up all kinds of insane, inappropriate and untrue tweets about president obama. basically april fool's type stuff that isn't funny. we reached out to fox and twitter

there's one or two bricks missing, you know it's still a big brick wall. and for those people who think circumstantial evidence isn't enough, i have two words for you. scott peterson. he's sitting on death row right now in california with exactly the same type of case. no cause of death, nobody sauce him murder anybody, nobody could link him forensically to any part of the death, but the jury looked at all of it together and they said, you know what? that's enough for that brick wall of guilt. >> and casey anthony, we saw her today. she mouthed something when she made it very clear the prosecutor tried to paint her as a bad mother. what do we think of how we've seen her behaving, crying, sometimes stoic, sometimes serious. >> actually, suzanne, one of the charges that the judge is going to give, and that's what we call it. legally speaking, we say the judge is going to charge the jury. and basically, all it means is he's going to give them an instruction book and the instruction book is these are the laws that apply to this case. okay? this is the first degree murder charge. this is the
